Traditional Library Card
Sign up for a library card at PLJCS and gain access to many resources. Our library has so much to offer including:

Materials like books (large print, foreign language), audiobooks (CD), and movies (DVD/ Blu-ray) from not only PLJCS, but other NC Cardinal libraries across the state.

Did we mention you can also request materials from other NC Cardinal member libraries if we don't have an item you want locally?!
Visit the library with a picture ID that includes your current address or a picture ID plus proof of current address, and we'll issue a full-service library card on the spot. The whole process takes 5 minutes or less. Traditional library cards are valid for 3 years before renewal is required. There is no need to register online for this option. Virtual Library Card
Get access to our digital resources ONLY, including Libby eBooks and audiobooks, NC Kids, and NCLive with a Virtual Library Card. Once your application is processed, we will email your new library card number and personal identification number (PIN), which is the last four-digits of the phone number associated with your library account. This library card number and personal identification number (PIN) will be valid for access to all online resources for 1 year.
Please note, it will take 1-2 business days to process your request. If you need immediate access to our digital resources or access to physical materials, visit your local library to get a Traditional Library Card as outlined above instead.
Students and staff of Johnston County Public Schools and Neuse Charter School do not need to register for a Virtual Library Card as they should already have a Student Access account. Full details can be found under Student Access in the navigational menu at the top of this page.
Account PINs
For traditional and virtual library accounts, PINs are automatically set to the last 4 digits of your telephone number when you register for a library card. StudentAccess account holders should use their state staff/ student ID Number as their library card number and the last 4 digits of the same number as their account PIN.
